PODCasting Issues

I am attempting to record my podcast and get it uploaded today. I have been having issues trying to get the recording to work (audacity loaded just fine) on my laptop and my desktop. I have one other desktop to try today. Thanks for being patient with our technical issues.

Let me know if there is anything I can do to help you with the audacity issues. If you have another audio program you are welcome to use that as well.

Thank you...We've been trying to get the computers (two desktops and one laptop/all pc) to recognize the mic and we have so far been unsuccessful. I'm going to buy another mic tomorrow at Fry's to see if I can narrow it to the mic and not the computers. All the computers recognize the Audacity program just fine. I plan on using the mic anyway, so I don't mind going to get another. I am also thinking about buying a new laptop later this month for school use, as the one I am using is very out of date and doesn't play well with many other programs these days (It's five years old or so.) Thank you for your support. I'll let you know how it goes tomorrow.

Technology - you can't live with it, and you can't live without it. :) I had the hardest time uploading my vodcast as well. In fact, I finally uploaded it as a video instead because I couldn't get it uploaded the correct way. I'm glad to be doing this during the summer where we have time to play with things before trying it for real once school starts again. I can't wait to hear your podcast once you get it uploaded!

Reading the TechMonday today, I read about a new microphone. G-Track. It's includes a line-in jack for musicians to record instuments while singing or mix in other audio sources with live sounds. It reads that it works well with podcasting. It's $40 and can be viewed at www.samontech.com

WOW! How can I explain how much I love this idea??? I used to fantasize about a way to teach online, even having "chat tutorials" where I would open an online chat time during certain hours. The students could ask their questions in an open window and I would respond to each of them before the chat tutorial time was closed. Report Cards: Update

Soooo, in talking with my husband tonight (who is also a teacher), he said that they have the ability to send the report cards to their parents' emails when they validate/export their grades for the report cards! He said that they've been doing this for the past two years? Why can't we??? Why??? V
